SCW-UNWOMEN discuss cooperation

Manama, July 6 (BNA): Supreme Council for Women (SCW)'s Secretary General Hala Al-Ansari today received UN Women Regional Director for the Arab States, Mohammed Naciri, and praised UNWOMEN programs aimed at supporting empowerment of women in Arab countries. The meeting discussed ways to improve equal opportunities policies and programs adopted by state institutions. Naciri hailed the support provided by HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM the King also SCW's President, for Bahraini women which has inspired them to bring many achievements in various areas. He expressed readiness to promote Bahrain's effort towards the empowerment of Bahraini women and supporting their participation in various fields in light of the international reports that reflect Bahrain's seriousness in the same matter.
