SCW Secretary-General receives MP

Manama, Apr.22 (BNA): Supreme Council for Women (SCW) Secretary-General Hala Al-Ansari has today received Northern Governorate Constituency 4 MP Ghazi Faisal Al-Rahma. Al-Ansari commended the role of the Council of Representatives in promoting women-related issues with the legislative branch and cooperating with the Government to push the march of national development forward. She outlined the efforts of the council, chaired Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King, to promote Bahraini women’s empowerment. She stressed the SCW keen interest in bolstering cooperation with the legislative branch of government to further anchor women’s rights, consolidate the principle of equal opportunity and integrate women’s needs in development plans and strategies.
