SCW launches anti-domestic violence national strategy

Manama, Nov 23 (BNA): The Supreme Council for Women (SCW), in a press conference, announced the launch of the National Strategy for the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence in to coincide with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women which falls on 25 November. SCW Secretary General Hala Al-Ansari said that the National Strategy for the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence was prepared by a national team comprising representatives from relevant official and civil society sides. She added the anti-domestic violence strategy is an extension to the family stability which is part of the national plan for the advancement of Bahraini women based on the protection of women's family security.
