Saudi Foreign Minister: Abadi Will Visit Riyadh Next Monday

BAGHDAD, Iraq (NINA) - Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubair announced that Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi will visit Riyadh next Monday. "We are looking forward to re-establishing relations with Baghdad to the best and we welcome this visit," al-Jubair said in a press statement from London. He added that "Saudi Arabia was one of the financiers of the international coalition against Daesh in Syria, and we believe that the great and strong effort against it will ensure its defeat." Abadi is scheduled to meet with King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and will hold a series of joint talks with Saudi officials. Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said recently that his visit to Saudi Arabia is not related to the Gulf crisis and the dispute with Qatar. / End
