Saudi Arabia allocates 6,000 Hajj quotas to Kyrgyzstan in 2023

Bishkek, Jan. 10, 2023 / Kabar/. Saudi Arabia allocated 6 thousand quotas for pilgrimage (Hajj) to Kyrgyzstan in 2023. According to the press service of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, Mufti Zamir Rakiev met with Deputy Minister of Pilgrimage of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Abdel Fattah bin Suleiman. At the meeting the sides signed an agreement on the organization of the pilgrimage in 2023. A Saudi official said that a quota of 6,000 seats would be allocated for pilgrims from Kyrgyzstan, but if the epidemiological situation worsens, the seats will be reduced and restrictions may be introduced. The Muftiate noted that 4,313 citizens have been waiting for the Hajj since 2019.
