Baghdad (NINA) - The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, discussed with the Italian Foreign Minister Luigi de Mayo in Rome the bilateral relations and ways to advance them to serve the interests of the two friendly countries. A presidential statement stated that: "The latest political developments were reviewed at the regional and international levels, and the need to support the stability of Iraq and joint action to defuse the crisis and establish international peace and security were emphasized." President Barham Salih arrived in Rome today on his way back to Baghdad, after participating in the Davos Economic Forum in Switzerland. / End
