Sadyr Zhaparov awards only Manas narrator of Kazakhstan Bayangali Alimzhanov

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov met today in Nur-Sultan with the only narrator of the Manas epic in Kazakhstan Bayangali Alimzhanov, the press service of the Kyrgyz president said. The head of state expressed gratitude to Manas narrator Bayangali Alimzhanov for translating the Manas epic into Kazakh, which thereby made a huge contribution to the development and popularization of the pearl of Kyrgyz folk art. Sadyr Zhaparov presented the state award of the Kyrgyz Republic - the Order of Dostuk to Bayangali Alimzhanov. Manas narrator Bayangali Alimzhanov noted that he translated the Manas epic for its popularization and wide distribution among the younger generation of Kazakhstanis, as he believes that modern youth should know this unique epic. To this day, Bayangali Alimzhanov is the only Manas narrator in Kazakhstan. From 1984 to 2004, Bayangali Alimzhanov participated in hundreds of national, international and local competitions, is a multiple winner of various competitions.
