Russian Ambassador Hosts Reception

Pyongyang, August 17 (KCNA) -- Alexandr Matsegora, Russian ambassador to the DPRK, hosted a reception at the Taedonggang Diplomatic Club on Thursday on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of Korea's liberation. Invited to the reception were Sin Hong Chol, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Kim Ik Song, director of the General Bureau for Affairs with Diplomatic Corps, Ri Kwang Gun, vice-minister of External Economic Relations, So Ho Won, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries and chairman of the DPRK-Russia Friendship Association, and others. Present there were staff members of the Russian embassy and a delegation of the Veterans' Union of Russia headed by its Chairman Reserve Army General Mikhail Moiseyev. Speeches were made there. Prior to this, a reception was given at the Russian consulate general in Chongjin. -0-
