Russia ready to consider humanitarian aid to Iraq if official request comes - Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW, October 20./TASS/. Russia will consider the issue of humanitarian aid to Iraq if it receives an official request, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told a briefing on Thursday. "As for humanitarian aid for residents of this country, we of course understand unquestionable topicality of this task, this situation at the moment," the diplomat said. "If the Russian side receives an official request to this respect, we will be ready to look into it," Zakharova added. "Our country has accumulated a big and very positive experience of rendering humanitarian aid to Syrian refugees," the diplomat said. Read more
