Royal Court's Minister receives IPI Director

Manama, Sept. 17 (BNA): The Royal Court's Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, received the International Peace Institute (IPI)'s Director, Terry Rod-Larsen, in the presence of Najib Friji the Director of IPI's regional office for the Middle East and North Africa, and Royal Court's Special Envoy Samira Ebrahim bin Rajab. The Director of IPI expressed deep sorrow and sincere condolences to the Kingdom of Bahrain's leadership, government and people over the martyrdom of our soldiers stationed on the borders in defense of the fatherland and the nation, and also his condolences over the martyrdom of policemen targeted by terrorism in the Kingdom. During the meeting, Mr. Larsen briefed the Royal Court's Minister about the activities of IPI which has its regional office in Manama, affirming the Institute's high appreciation of the Kingdom's efforts in supporting its activities and events aimed to establish peace and consolidate the concepts of tolerance between peoples and countries. They also discussed latest regional developments, issues and events.
