ROC's Archbishop hails coexistence, amity, fraternity values

Manama, Oct. 27 (BNA): The Jerusalem-based Patriarch of the Sebaste Romanian-Orthodox Church (ROC), Archbishop Atalla Hanna, has expressed his gratitude to His Majesty the King, the Government and people of Bahrain for their supportive stance towards the Palestinian people. He expressed a special salute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for His Majesty's supportive stances vis-a-vis the Palestinian cause. He said Bahrain has always supported the Palestinian people, especially the issue of Jerusalem, as well as the Palestinian liberation struggle aimed to break away from the shackles of occupation and colonialism. During a reception hosted by the Palestinian Ambassador, Taha Abdulqader, in the presence of ambassadors and officials in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Archbishop Attalla told Bahrain News Agency (BNA) that his current visit was not the first of its kind. He said he had been invited by His Majesty the King to visit the Kingdom in 2002 to see the peaceful coexistence and fraternity prevalent among all community components. He said during his first visit he has had the honour of meeting His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister. He had also participated in several conferences and seminars hosted in Bahrain, hailing the Kingdom of Bahrain's embodiment of the values of peaceful coexistence, fraternity and amity amongst its people.
