Rioter sentenced to three years

Manama, Apr. 23 (BNA)— An Iraqi national charged with rallying and arson was sentenced to three years in jail by the High Criminal Court. He is to be deported after serving the sentence. Advocate General and Chief of Terrorist Crime Prosecution Ahmed Al Hammadi said the defendant took part in an unauthorised rally in Manama and set fire, alongside the other rioters, to six garbage bins after putting them in the middle of a public road. The defendant pleaded guilty to the accusations leveled against him by the Public Prosecution and was referred to the High Criminal Court.
