On results of first two months of 2022, rate of real GDP growth makes 102%: Cabinet head

According to the results of the first two months of 2022, the rate of real GDP growth was 102%, Head of the Presidential Administration and Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov said during a meeting of the Cabinet on Thursday. He noted that measures taken and implemented last year by the Cabinet allowed the country's economy to return to the trajectory of positive growth. "A very high rate of economic growth is observed today. For example, for two months of 2022, tax payments were fulfilled by 180%; while the plan was KGS 24 billion 8 million, today KGS 25 billion 9 million have been collected. In turn, the plan for customs payments was executed by 203.6%, the plan was KGS 7 billion 5 million, and KGS 9 billion 7 million have been received. That is, in January 2022, we collected KGS 15-16 billion more than in 2021," the head of the Kyrgyz Cabinet said.
