Representatives Council underlines support for Operation Decisive Storm

Manama, Apr. 21 (BNA): The Representatives Council has emphasised its continuous support to Operation Decisive Storm carried out by the GCC and allied Arab forces to support legitimacy in Yemen, protect the Yemeni people from the Houthi terrorist militias and stop the Iranian interference in the Yemeni affairs. The council stressed that the UN Security Council's resolution backing the operation is a major proof of international support to save Yemen and its people from the Iranian occupation and embodies the international community's will to stand by the Yemeni people. The Representatives Council described the international resolution as a clear message to the Iranian-backed Houthi rebels and an assertion of the international community's support for Operation Decisive Storm which aims to defend legitimacy in Yemen and face the Iranian occupation that seeks to shake regional security and stability and undermine the GCC and international efforts to achieve stability and unity in Yemen. The council hailed the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' initiative to earmark USD 274 million for humanitarian relief work in Yemen through the United Nations, praising the efforts of the leaders and decision-makers in the region to foster regional security and stability.
