Manama, Mar 28 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today received Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, who conveyed the greetings of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi of Egypt to HM the King and to the people of Bahrain wishes of further progress and prosperity. HM the King expressed pride in the solid historical fraternal relations between the two countries, stressing keenness to push them towards wider horizons. HM the King asked the Egyptian minister to convey his regards to President Al-Sisi, praising the Egyptian minister's visit that boosts the bilateral relations and cooperation. HM the King welcomed the appointment of Ahmed Aboul-Gheit as the Secretary General of the Arab League, commended his wide diplomatic experience. HM the King wished him success in bolstering the joint Arab cooperation and defending the just causes of Arab nation, as well as meeting the Arab nation's aspirations to attain a secured and stable future. HM the King underlined Bahrain's support for the Arab League initiatives aimed at consolidating relations and activating cooperation among the Arab League's members to develop an effective Arab strategy to face the challenges sweeping across the region. HM the King underscored Egypt's pivotal role in defending the Arab nation's causes, interests and national security. HM the king wished Egypt durable security and stability and the Egyptian people more advancement and wellbeing under the leadership of President Al-Sisi. Regional and international development were also discussed. Egyptian Foreign Minister expressed appreciation of HM the King's efforts in reinforcing the Bahraini-Egyptian relations, hailing Bahrain's supportive stances toward Egypt and the joint Arab action march.
