RCO delegation accomplishes Nepal relief mission

Manama, May 7 (BNA): The Bahraini relief aid delegation, led by the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO)'s secretary-general Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed and Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and delegation members concluded their visit to quake-hit Nepal by visiting one of the big hospitals which shelters the victims of the earthquake which hit that country two weeks ago. The delegation conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the victims, wishing them fast healing and recovery. Bahrain gifted medical supplies, tents, blankets for use in hospital courtyards due to overcrowding and insufficient number of beds to accommodate patients in the hospital. Dr. Al Sayed said "With the grace of Allah, our mission has been successfully accomplished whose goals can be summed up in conveyance of the greetings of His Majesty the King and HM the King's Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs cum Chairman of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO)'s board of trustees, and to distribute foodstuffs and medical aid as well as pitch up tents within a record short span since the issuance of the Royal Decree in this regard". Dr. Al-Sayed has expressed his delight and gratitude to all who have contributed to the work and provided help and assistance to the Nepalese people, and to the Kingdom's Ambassador in Nepal and India Tariq bin Daina, to the BDF's Royal Guard who assisted with pitching up tents, to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Health Ministry, the Bahrain Red Crescent Society, the Nepalese Army and students who volunteered to serve the quake-affected Nepalese people. The Bahraini delegation is due to depart from the Republic of Nepal later this evening en route to the Kingdom after having successfully accomplished their humanitarian and relief mission.
