QU's CAS Celebrates Graduation Of 376 Students

Doha, June 27 (QNA) -Qatar University has celebrated the graduation of 376 students of the college of arts and science (CAS) summer/fall 2011 and spring 2012 in the CAS's annual celebration. During the event, QU honored a number of outgoing teaching staff, retired professors, and winners of scientific research awards in a huge attendance of teaching staff, along with the alumni and their parents. In a statement during the event, Dean of CAS, Dr. Eman Mustafawy lauded the alumni noting the college s keen efforts to keep up with the needs of the work field through the college s designated programs. She announced a bachelor s degree will be offered next academic year in programs for strategies, development and planning, General health, and Psychology. Meanwhile, CAS Professor and Associate Dean for Research, Mohamed Ahmedna, said the college honored all teaching staff who have been affiliates to CAS since 3 years and showed distinguished efforts in the field of scientific research over the course of the last years. A CAS alumna, Aisha Al Rashdy expressed happiness in an address on behalf of the alumni, calling them for putting what they learned and skilled at into reality.(QNA)
