QTA Unveils New Career and Training Opportunities in Tourism at QCF 2013
Doha, March 31 (QNA) - Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) will participate in the Qatar Career Fair, held from tomorrow until 6 April, at the Qatar National Convention Centre to unveil new career and training opportunities in the tourism industry.
Eng Issa Al-Mohannadi, Chairman of QTA, said: "Qatar Tourism Authority's participation in the Qatar Career Fair reflects the QTA's commitment in line with the country's 2030 Vision, to develop human capital to achieve a knowledge-based economy. At the Fair we will be connecting with young Qataris, graduates and students to present new opportunities for a rewarding career in the tourism industry. Our booth at the event will reflect how we want to promote Qatar through a new tourism strategy that seeks to encourage enterprise in the industry as well as offer jobs and training in hospitality and tourism studies. Above all we want to ensure that young people are equipped with the training they need to build successful careers as professionals in our industry."
QTA's recent initiatives include developing local talent in the buoyant MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) sector, with the introduction of new hospitality training programmes at Stenden University. (QNA)
