QNA Organizes Blood Donation Campaign

Doha, June 25 (QNA) - As part of Qatar News Agency (QNA)'s commitment to interact and be involved with and serve the community in Qatar and firm belief that blood donation is noble way for serving humanity, QNA organized a blood donation campaign on Monday, 25 June 2012. The blood donation event took place in the agency s premises with the participation of many of the agency s staff members from various departments and divisions, who underwent preliminary testing to determine suitability for the donation process. The campaign aims at helping the Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) Blood Bank increase its supply of blood and blood components. This campaign was organized in line with the agency s values and commitment to spread and promote charitable initiatives aimed to serve the community and enhance its welfare. Through such campaign, QNA seeks to stress the responsibility of its commitment to activities that play a fundamental role in supporting the community in Qatar. HMC officials hailed this volunteer initiative as an active contribution to this humanitarian endeavor. (QNA)
