QCCI Hosts a Delegation from Quebec Province in Canada

Doha, January 24 (QNA) - Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) hosted at its headquarters here on Tuesday a delegation from the Canadian province of Quebec led by the Minister of Economic Development and Export of the province, Sam Hamad. In a meeting between Qatari and Canadian businessmen, attended, along with Canadian Minister by Deputy Chairman of the QCCI Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Tuwar , and HE Canada's Ambassador to Qatar, Gary Luton,bin Tuwar welcomed the visiting delegation and expressed his wishes for the success of their visit, noting that the progress Qatar is now witnessing in all aspects is opening wide paths for business from all over the world to create partnerships with Qatari businessmen. He stressed the role of the Chamber in the rapprochement between the Qatari businessmen and their counterparts from all over the world, pointing to willingness to provide assistance to those wishing to invest in Qatar through the provision of necessary information and data . For his prt, the Canadian Minister praised the progress taking place in the State of Qatar, stressing the desire of the members of the visiting delegation to build ties of cooperation with the Qatari Businessmen in various fields including education, health, infrastructure, information technology, timber industry and engineering consultancy to serve the interests of both countries. In the same context, Canada's ambassador to Qatar HE Gary Luton stressed the importance of relations between the two countries which he said " are characterized with friendship and cooperation, that officials and business delegations from the two countries never ceased exchanging visits seeking the benefit of both economies. Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, at the beginning of the meeting made a detailed presentation on how to establish business in the State of Qatar, noting the importance of benefiting from the privileges and facilities granted by the Government for those wishing to invest and engage in partnerships with Qatari businessmen.
