Qatar's Vision Makes Human Rights Strategic Option

Doha,June 03 (QNA) - Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Arab Conference for developing Arab League (AL) Human Rights system Dr. Ahmed Al-Hammadi said the conference, which he described as ' important' is being held in the shadow of an international climate in which the conviction of the importance of promoting and protecting human rights is increasing. Addressing the opening session of the conference, Dr. Al-Hammadi stressed that the contemporary era is the era of human rights which are the most important wishes of peoples. However, they are not affected by a certain culture or civilzation, but rather the cause of entire international community, Dr. Al Hammadi said. He added that the new reality of this experience makes it incumbent on everyone to look into the future for the realization of the wishes and aspirations of the Arab peoples for the promotion of human rights, noting that the consolidation of human rights values is no longer the responsibility of governments alone but rather a collective social responsibility that should be shared by all agencies , institutions and civil society organizations .(QNA)
