Qatar's Paralympian Abdulqadir Named Official Ambassador of Qatar's Sports Day

Doha, January 19 (QNA) -Qatar's only Paralympian Abdulqadir Abdulrahman who was the only the athlete representing his country at London 2012, was named Saturday as the official ambassador of Qatar's sports day which will be celebrated in Doha on February 12, 2013 . Abdulqadir Abdulrahman spoke of his hopes not only for these games, but also for Rio in 2016. He meanwhile explained ," My disability does not prevent me from exercising and achieving high performance levels, and represent my country and raise the banner of Qatar in international fora". Qatar's only Paralympian called upon all residents of Qatar to participate in the National Sports Day, to encourage people to practice different sports.(QNA)
