Qatar's Hosting of the UN Forum Provides An Opportunity For Distinction

Doha, December 11 (QNA) - HRH Prince Hassan Bin Talal, Chairman of the Arab Thought Forum (ATF) called on Sunday for coordination among all participants in the fourth UN Alliance of Civilizations Forum, under way in Doha, to coordinate their ideas through entering into a serious dialogue. Speaking to QNA on the sidelines of the fourth UN Alliance of Civilizations Forum, he noted that Qatar's hosting of the forum provides an opportunity for distinction. He said the real problem in this part of the world is its inability to organize the political, economic and academic triangle to activate the public opinion. He noted that the world economic crisis and the fact that the ambitions of millions of people in the world centered on the basic needs of life was almost an automatic response to the Arab uprising. The simultaneous reaction in the west to what is happening in the Arab world seems to mean recognition of the Arab's role this time in stripping clear the real picture, he said. (QNA)
