Qataris Can Avail Extended Priority Visa to UK Service

Doha, July 04 (QNA) - Citizens and residents of Qatar can now avail the new extended priority visa service to the United Kingdom, the British Embassy announced here Wednesday. The United Kingdom Border Agency is enhancing the priority visa service which was originally introduced earlier this year in March by allowing all nationals and residents of Qatar to apply for this service regardless of previous travel or the type of visa they wish to apply for, the embassy said. "Applicants may use our priority visa service to have their visa application processed ahead of others. We aim to process applications submitted under our priority service within 48 hours of receipt at the visa application centre," the statement added. This service costs QR 564 in addition to the visa application fee. Applicants under the priority visa service should complete and submit a UK visa application online as normal and request this service when they attend the visa application centre operated by VFS Global in Doha. Using the priority visa service does not guarantee that the visa application would be successful. The application must meet the requirements of the UK Immigration Rules. We will not refund the fee for the priority service, if the application is refused or, in exceptional cases, takes longer to process, the embassy said. Applicants should note the priority visa service differs from the premium service offered at the visa application centre which provides an enhanced experience at the visa application centre including a separate premium service lounge. Using the premium service does not guarantee that a visa would be issued or processed any quicker than other visa applications, the embassy said. (QNA)
