Qatari-Somali Talks

Doha, March 04 (QNA) - An official session of talks was held this morning at the Emiri Diwan between the State of Qatar under the chairmanship of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani and the Federal Republic of Somalia led by President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud. The session was attended by a number of Their Excellencies ministers. On the Somali side the session was attended by members of the official delegation accompanying the President. Talks during the meeting dealt with relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them. The two sides also reviewed a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern. HH the Emir hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of the Somali President and his accompanying delegation. The Somali President arrived at the Emiri Diwan before the talks and was accorded an official reception ceremony.(QNA)
