Qatari Prime Minister Chairs Arab Peace Initiative Committee Consultative Meeting

Doha, April 08 (QNA) - Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister HE Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani chaired this evening at the Ritz Carlton Hotel a consultative meeting of the Ministerial of the Arab Peace Initiative Committee, in the presence of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. The meeting was attended by the Arab League Secretary General Dr. Nabil El Araby, and the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and heads of delegations of the member states of the Arab Peace Initiative Committee, as well as the United Arab Emirates, Sultanate of Oman and Kuwait. During the meeting, President Mahmoud Abbas briefed the Committee on the current developments of the Palestinian issue in all its aspects, and recent contacts with the US administration. Discussions during the meeting also focused on consultation on ways to coordinate the Arab stance on the mission of the Arab ministerial delegation, which will visit Washington later this month.(QNA)
