Qatari-Maldives Talks

Doha, March 18 (QNA) - A session of talks was held before noon today at the Emiri Diwan between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Maldives under the co-chairmanship of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and President of Maldives Dr. Mohamed Waheed Hassan. The session was attended by a number of ministers. On the Maldives side the talks were attended by members of the official delegation accompanying the president. Talks during the session dealt with relations between the two countries and means of developing them. They also reviewed a number of issues of mutual concern. HH the Emir later hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of the Maldives President and his accompanying delegation.(QNA)
