Qatari Foreign Ministry Concerned Over Evolving Events in Egypt

Doha, July 23 (QNA) -An official source at the Qatari Foreign Ministry Tuesday expressed anxiety over the evolving events in Egypt, especially after a rising toll of civilian victims. The source questioned the continuation of detention of the elected President Mohamed Morsi, and the risks it implies, threatening the gains of the revolution of January 25. The source said the sole conduit out of the current crisis in Egypt is a political solution based on dialogue in the context of national unity. However, this cannot be achieved, the source added, in the absence of one of the two components of the dialogue and continuing the detention of its leaders. (QNA)
