Qatar is Witnessing A Comprehensive Developmental Boom, Indonesian Official
Doha, May 30 (QNA) - Ehrman Guzman , the Vice President of regional Indonesian House of Representatives , now visiting Doha, described the close relations between his country and the State of Qatar as excellent, confirming the two sides' due keenness to develop them in various fields, to serve the interests of both countries and their people.
Guzman hailed , in an exclusive interview to (Qatar News Agency (QNA) Wednesday on the sidelines of his participation in the 9th annual US- Islamic World Forum , Qatar's keenness on hosting the Forum over the past years.
He expressed his belief that the forum plays an important and vital role in bridging between US and the Islamic world. However, more efforts are needed in this regard.
Guzman expressed his pride for the boom witnessed by the State of Qatar, under the leadership of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, in the economic, scientific, cultural and social fields saying: "We are proud of the leadership of HH the Emir to his country, and of Qatar's prominent position and effective contributions in issues of international peace and security."
Irman Guzman in his interview to (QNA) expressed his country's happiness that Qatar's bid won hosting the football world cup 2022, considering that a victory for all Muslims and Arabs, pointing out that Qatar has strong infrastructures that enabled it to host many major events.
Answering a question about the areas of investment in which Doha and Jakarta can cooperate in the future ,Guzman pointed to the infrastructure, telecommunication and the banking sector.
The the Vice President of regional Indonesian House of Representatives meantime praised the good treatment enjoyed by the Indonesian community in Qatar from on part of the authorities and people of Qatar, saying that about 30,000 Indonesians are working in Qatar and enjoying respect and appreciation.
He considered in answer to another question, what is happening in Syria to be an internal affair, expressing at the same time his regret at the killing of of large numbers of innocent civilian victims. He also called on all parties to the Syrian crisis to resort to negotiating table and resolve the problem peacefully expressing his belief that the military option should be a last resort.
Guzman reviewed his country's experience in democratic transformation, noting that Indonesia is occupying the 18th position in the world in terms of strength and durability of the economy. He predicted that his country, the Islamic State which has a strong and promising economy , will be the tenth largest economy in the world by the year 2025, and the fifth by the year 2045. (QNA)
