Qatar Vows to Support Efforts to Address Arab Water Challenges

Cairo, June 06 (QNA) - Qatar is keen on supporting Arab efforts to tackle water challenges, HE the Minister of Energy and Industry Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada said on the sidelines of the fifth Arab Water Ministerial Council meeting, which approved Thursday an executive structure of the water security strategy in the Arab region. Dr. Al Sada pointed to the significance of the strategy at a time when Arab countries face water challenges that require unity and exchange of expertise. In an interview with Qatar News Agency (QNA), HE the minister said the meeting reviewed the experiences of Libya, Algeria and Saudi Arabia in desalination, adding that Qatar will present its own experience in the next session of the Arab Water Ministerial Council. Dr. Al Sada underlined Arab welcoming of Qatar's hosting of the second Arab water conference next year. (QNA)
