Qatar Vinyl Company Unveiled as Rota Gala Dinner Bronze Sponsor
Doha, November 30 (QNA) - Reach Out To Asia (ROTA) on Wednesday announced that Qatar Vinyl Company Ltd. Q.S.C. (QVC), the leading provider of vinyl and caustic products, as the Bronze Sponsor of the 4th Reach Out To Asia (ROTA) Gala Dinner on Monday 12th December.
The Gala Dinner is to be held under the patronage of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani and HH Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser , the Chairperson Of Qtar Foundation For Education, Science And Community Development (QF) at the Katara Cultural Village on Dec.12.
ROTA has revealed earlier last week the Gala Dinner Gold Sponsor Msheireb's Real Estate Company whereas Qatar Petroleum the Silver Sponsor.
ROTA Board member HE Dr. Aisha bint Faleh Al Thani, said, "QVC s sponsorship of our 4th Gala Dinner is proof that ROTA is on the right track". "ROTA s Gala Dinner is the highlight of Qatar s social calendar and we are delighted to welcome Qatar Vinyl Company to participate in such an illustrious occasion," ROTA Board Member HE Sheikha Dr. Aisha bint Faleh Al Thani told the press conference held here Wendesday.
An elite group of 500 VIPs, celebrities, entertainers, business leaders and statesmen from Qatar and around are expected at the Katara Cultural Village for the dazzling 4-hour ROTA Gala Dinner and Charity Auction. HRH Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, the Saudi business tycoon will be amongst our distinguished guests.
In addition, works of art from Al Koora Art Project will be displayed and put up for auction during the event. Al Koora Art Project was developed by ROTA s Volunteer Program, an initiative focused on community service and fostering a spirit of volunteerism in Qatar. The program coordinates initiatives with partners that achieve a positive impact for a diverse range of beneficiaries both within Qatar and in other countries.
ROTA Board member HE Dr. Aisha bint Faleh Al Thani, further told reporters that QVC s generous ROTA Gala Dinner Bronze Sponsorship is proof the company takes its corporate social responsibilities very seriously, emphasizing meantime the importance of behaving as a responsible company, QVC places great importance on its key values - safety, focus on employees and customers, quality of products and services, environmental compliance and giving back to the community in which it works.

The Al Koora Art Project engaged children with special needs from seven different institutions, namely the Dhreima Orphanage, Al Noor Institute for the Blind, Best Buddies Qatar, the Qatari Centre of Social Cultural for the Deaf, Hope Qatar, the Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs, and the Qatar Paralympic Rehabilitation of Special Needs, to participate in a series of art workshops held at the Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar (VCUQ).
ROTA Board member HE Dr. Aisha bint Faleh Al Thani meanwhile went on to say,'' They are poor because they are deprived of educational opportunities that are freely available to children in more prosperous countries." "In towns and villages across Asia there are still far too many young people who are poor; not because they do not want to work, not because they lack intelligence, not because they lack ambition'', HE added.
Along with VCUQ students, aspiring Qatari artists and volunteers, the children created works of art that represented different elements of Qatar, its people, and its natural environment, in the past, present and future. The theme was reflected through artistic expression such as painting, drawing, and poetry.
Funds raised during the Gala Dinner will enable ROTA to continue educational and community projects in Cambodia, Indonesia, Nepal, Bangladesh, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Palestine, Lebanon and Syria
In Qatar, ROTA achievements over past two years were made possible by the support of the corporate donors. These achievements include the Wheels 'n' Heels community event in 2010 which is coming back in February 2012, 300 volunteers participating in two Make a Difference Days, launching 22 ROTA Youth Service Clubs, over 750 youth taking part in three ROTA Empower national youth forums, welcoming 650 students to iEARN-Qatar Open House events, enrolling more than 700 teachers as members of the ROTA Knowledge Network, and launching new 7 projects.
Meanwhile ROTA Director Essa Al-Mannai also addressed reproters saying, "We are thrilled to be able to host our 4th Gala Dinner with the support of Bronze Sponsor Qatar Vinyl Company. The funds raised at this glittering event will enable ROTA to continue our vital education development programs during 2012 and beyond."
