Qatar- Vietnam Official Talks

Hanoi, January 16 (QNA) - A round of official talks kicked off at the Vietnamese presidential palace here on Monday afternoon between the HH the Emir of the State of Qatar and President of Vietnam Truong Tan Sang, During the talks, the two sides reviewed ties of joint cooperation and means of cementing them in the several fields , the latest developments on the regional and international levels, and other issues of common concern. The talks were attended by Their Excellencies the Members of the official delegation accompanying His Highness the Emir. HH the Emir and the Vietnamese President witnessed the signing of a set of agreements and Memorandums of understanding (MoUs) between the two countries where the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation in the field of education, higher education and scientific research between the Government of the State of Qatar and the Government of Vietnam, an a MoU between the Qatar Central Bank(QCB) and Central Bank of Vietnam, another MoU between Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company and M & C Company as well as a Memorandum of Understanding on coordination and cooperation in the investment field between Qatar Holding and Vietnam State Capital Investment Corporation. The two sides also signed an agreement for investment on the Long Son project for Petrochemical in Vietnam with each of the Petrovietnam company and SCG Chemicals Company of Thailand. (QNA) HH the Emir of the State of Qatar Meets president of Vietnam's National Assembly Hanoi, January 16 (QNA) - HH the Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani met HE president of the Vietnamese National Assembly Nguyen Sinh Hung, here on Monday. During the meeting held at the Vietnamese National Assembly headquarters, relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in various fields were taken up. A number of Their Excellencies the members of the delegation accompanying HH the Emir, attended the meeting. (QNA)
