Qatar Urges UN Chief, Security Council Qatar to Immediately Intervene to Stop Attack on Homs

Doha, June 30 (QNA) - In response to appeals of distress by the citizens of the Syrian city of Homs and its surroundings, due to the brutal and unjust attack by the Syrian regime, the Lebanese Hezbollah militia and a lot of fighters from many other countries, the State of Qatar has expressed its strong condemnation of the massacres committed against the innocent civilians and defenders for their property and their honor. Qatar also warned of using chemical weapons against Syrian citizens by the regime. The State of Qatar called on the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, to do what is necessary, according to his high office and to use all his powers to stop this unjust attack. Qatar also urged the UN Security Council to immediately intervene to stop this attack, which is designed for the fall of the city of Homs. It also warned of the expected horrific massacres which looks clearly visible in the light of what was committed in Al-Qusayr city, and expressed its deep fear and anxiety of revenge that would not threaten Syria but the entire region. Qatar held the Syrian regime and its supporters responsible for the attack against the Syrian people.(QNA)
