Qatar Takes Part in Kuwait's 4th Holy Quran Award

Doha, April 03 (QNA) - Qatar takes part in the 4th edition of Kuwait's international Quran recitation and memorization contest, which runs at the International Islamic Charitable Organization (IICO) in Kuwait until April 10. Contestant Youssef Ba'ashir, memorizer of the entire Quran represents the State of Qatar in the competition that will brings together more than 50 countries . Ba'ashir's participation in this contest comes within the framework of the pioneering efforts of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs to guide promising Qatari students to win the first international prizes and provide necessary support and assistance to them, a senior official of the Ministry told Qatar News Agency (QNA). Sultan Saad al Badr also expressed hope that Qatari graduates would play a prominent role in teaching the Holy Quran and spreading its sciences among Muslims. The completion is held in categories including memorization of the entire Quran, recitation, Tajweed and the Best Technology Developed for Serving the Holy Quran. (QNA)
