Qatar Takes Part in 6th World Air Transport Conference in Montreal

Doha, March 20 (QNA) -the State of Qatar is to participate in the 6th Global air transport conference, now in session in the Montreal -based International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) headquarters under the title,"Sustainability of Air Transport ". Chairman of General Authority for Civil Aviation (GACA) Abdulaziz Mohamed Al Nuaimi will lead Qatar's delegation to the five-day conference which started there earlier on March 18 in the presence of a big number of official figures and decision makers and experts on air transport from around the world. The conference ,which is being held once every ten years , is aimed to prepare guidelines and an action plan for the regulatory framework of the World Air Transport, where the participants are to discusses a lot of issues concerning the organization of air transport services such as liberalizing or leasing restrictions imposed on ownership of carriers and supervision, and protection of consumer rights and taxes, as well as fair competition and market access through the adoption of an open skies policy widely.(QNA)
