Qatar Red Crescent Carries Out 27 Projects in Gaza Strip

Doha, June 01 (QNA) - The Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRC) has carried out 27 projects in Gaza Strip with a total cost of $10 million, including 19 projects related to services rendered to the disabled and 8 projects for higher education, the society announced. The projects, implemented in collaboration with the Palestine Red Crescent Society, were funded by QRC and its strategic partners such as Al Fakhoora campaign and the Islamic Development Bank (within the program of the Council of the GCC countries for reconstructing Gaza).     The already competed projects will be officially inaugurated during the period from June 3 to 5, with the participation of representatives from the Qatari Red Crescent and donors among others. Among the projects to be opened are an $850,000 al-Quds Open University center in Khan Younis, and clinical rehabilitation to an internal section in Al Amal Hospital in Khan Younis at a cost of $540,000.
