Qatar Red Crescent, Al Faisal Foundation Sign Syria Relief Agreement

Doha, December 31 (QNA) - The Qatari Red Crescent signed Monday a cooperation agreement with Al Faisal Without Borders Charitable Foundation to aid refugees in the North and East of Syria with a budget exceeding the $1.5 million. Member of the Faisal Foundation's Board of Trustees and Chairperson of its Executive Committee Abdul Latif Ali Al Shayef and Secretary General of the Red Crescent Saleh Ali Al Mohannadi signed the agreement here today. Both parties stressed that the agreement came at an essential time due to the tragic conditions of Syrian refugees. Faisal Foundation Without Borders have allocated QR 3.65 million for carrying out the agreement, while that of the Qatari Red Crescent is QR 1.932 million. The agreement will be implemented within four months. Al Yafei said that the initiative of the Faisal Without Borders Charitable Foundation was a result of Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani's, the founder of the charity, keenness to make sure that the policies of the charity were in line with the vision of the State of Qatar.
