Qatar Real Estate Market 'Poised for Dynamic Growth'

Doha, May 28 (QNA) - Qatar's real estate market is poised to enter a period of dynamic growth, an engineering consultancy with infrastructure project development experience here has said. Atkins Qatar Managing Director Rod Stewart said, "The property market is on the cusp of some really strong growth as Qatar works towards delivering its National 2030 Vision, and we are very keen to play our part and help make a difference." Design and engineering consultancy Atkins is participating in Cityscape Qatar 2013 to further capitalise on Qatar's real estate market which is on an upward swing. "We have been privileged to work on some of the most high profile and exciting property and urban design projects in the region and we are looking forward to telling our story to potential clients and partners here in Doha," said Stewart. Atkins has a presence in Qatar as it had won a three-year contract worth in excess of QR 384.75 Million (?70m) from Qatar's Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning to support delivery of its multi-billion dollar transport and infrastructure programmes. Atkins developed its reputation in the real estate sector after delivering the architecture, engineering design and project management for a number of signature projects, including the Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai, the Bahrain World Trade Center in Manama and the Barr Al Jissah resort in Muscat, Oman. Recently, the company has seen the completion of Yas Waterworld in Abu Dhabi, while its urban planners and visioning experts are helping to enhance the region's public realm with master-planning projects in Riyadh, Makkah, Jeddah and Dubai, as well as Doha. In the US, Hillsborough County Aviation Authority (HCAA) in Florida has appointed Atkins as designers on the expansion programme of its Tampa International Airport. The work includes the expansion of the main terminal transfer level and improvements to its concessions, the company said today. (QNA)
