Qatar to Participate in GCC Municipality Ministers'15th Meeting to Open in Abu Dhabi Saturday

Doha, December 07 (QNA) - the State of Qatar is to participate in the 15th meeting of the ministers in charge of municipalities in the Cooperation Council For The Arab States Of The Gulf (GCC) member states, due to open in the UAE's capital of Abu Dhabi next Saturday. HE Minister of Municipality and Urban Planning Sheikh Abdulrahman Bin Khalifa Bin Abdulaziz Al Thani will lead Qatar's delegation to the meeting. The GCC ministers of municipalities will discuss during their meeting the executive measures of the standardized ubran strategy framework and the urban environment development framework and their involved targets in joint municipal action. They will discuss the establishment of the GCC unified municipal training centre in Kuwait and discussing bahrain's proposal for the GCC award for the municipal work and the other proposals sent by the Award Foundation of the Arab Towns Organization (ATO) in this regard. The Award Foundation of the Arab Towns Organization, is based in Doha, Qatar. While the ATO counts more than 400 members in the following countries: Jordan, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Somalia, Iraq, Kuwait, Morocco, Yemen, Tunisia, Comoros, Djibouti, Syria, Amman, Palestine, Qatar, Lebanon, Libya, Egypt and Mauritania.(QNA)
