Qatar, Malaysia Hold Official Talks

Kuala Lumpur, December 05 (QNA) - A session of official talks between HE Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani and Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak was held here on Monday. Talks during the session dealt with bilateral relations and ways of bolstering them, as well as areas of cooperation in various fields. On the Qatari side, the session was attended by a number of Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HE the Premier, while on the Malaysian side, it was attended by Tourism Minister Ng Yen Yen, Works Minister Shaziman Abu Mansor, Higher Education Minister Mohamed Khaled Nordin, Transportation Minister Kong Cho Ha and Deputy Foreign Minister Senator A. Kohilan. Meanwhile, the two countries' Prime Ministers witnessed the signing of letters of intent on cooperation agreements in the fields of tourism and higher education. Later, the Malaysian Prime Minister hosted a luncheon banquet in honor of HE Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani and his accompanying delegation. Upon Arrival in Kuala Lumpur earlier in the day, HE the Premier was accorded an official reception ceremony. (QNA)
