Qatar, Japan Mark 40th Anniversary of Reciprocating Diplomatic Representation

Tokyo, December 21 (QNA) -Cultural, trade and sports functions Wednesday in Tokyo marked the 40th anniversary of reciprocating diplomatic relations between Qatar and Japan. A number of Qatari and Japanese officials witnessed the functions which Qatar s ambassador to Japan, HE Yousef Mohamed Bilal described as a fresh boost to the strong relations between the countries. He recalled that Qatar contributed 100 million dollars to help victims of the devastating earthquake which was followed by tsunami tidal waves in March last year. He also underlined the strength of trade and economic cooperation. Yukio Edano, the Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry said cooperation between the two countries was growing steadily, thanks to the keenness of the governments of the two countries, expressing his appreciation of Qatar s all-round development.
