Qatar Interior Ministry Celebrates Arab Police Day

Doha, February 11 (QNA) - Under the patronage of HE Minister of State for Interior Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Ministry of Interior celebrated Monday the Arab Police Day in the Sheraton. The event was attended by the Director General of Public Security Major General Saad bin Jassim Al-Khulaifi. The Arab police day commemorates the first meeting of police leaders in Arab countries in the city of Al Ein in the UAE, back to 1972. The Director General of Public Security prayed in his speech for more prosperity and stability for Qatar, under the leadership of HH the Emir and HH the Heir Apparent. He said that the Ministry of Interior has made a lot of achievement; including the establishing new buildings, that reflected the Qatari heritage, providing a range of security services that were well spread across all of the areas in the country. He further said that the ministry has been providing the latest technology and training to its personnel. At the end of the ceremony, Al-Khulaifi honored a number of veteran police, as well as honoring a number of excelling students in different Arab police academies. (QNA)
