Qatar to Host GCC Taekwondo Championship for Men

Doha, April 27 (QNA) - The Qatari Taekwondo Federation will host the 4th GCC Taekwondo Championship for men to begin here on Friday, May 03 to May 05. Khalifa Abdulrahman Al-Kubaisi , the director of the said championship stressed the need to make such an event a complete success and necessitated the spirit of cohesion and team work to produce a distinguished championship as far as the technical , administrsative, organisational and media aspects are concerned. The event, due to be held at Spire zone woman sports committee's hall, will feature the participation of the 48 athletics or players from six GCC nations including Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. The championship's organizing committee will hold a press conference before launching the competitions to announce the final preparations for this championship. The Bahraini squad includes Ahmad Al-Kaabi, Eisa Al-Dawi, Hisham Al-Hashimi, Fahad Al-Bosta, Mosaab Abdulaziz and Hamad Wadea. In a related development, the International Federation of Taekwondo and Judo will organize the third session of the Gulf Taekwondo arbitrators during the period from the 29th of April until the first of next May on the sidelines of the aforesaid GCC Taekwondo Championship.
