Qatar to help build social town for Batken residents

Bishkek, Oct. 19, 2022. /Kabar/. The Qatar Charity will help to build a social town for residents of Batken Oblastaffected by the invasion of Tajikistan, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan said. Today, Jeenbek Kulubaev received regional director of the organization Abdul Nasser Ibrahim Al-Fahra. They discussed the restoration of destroyed and damaged facilities in Batken Oblast. The director of the charitable organization expressed his readiness to implement a project to build a social town, consisting of residential buildings, schools, hospitals and other facilities. He also said that in the near future, special attention will be paid to increasing the amount of assistance allocated to Kyrgyzstan and promoting new projects. Among them is the construction of computer IT centers for children, the Foreign Ministry said. Also, Abdul Nasser Ibrahim Al-Fakhru stressed that the cooperation established between the parties is developing successfully. He noted that since the beginning of the year, the organization has implemented 85 social projects in various fields. Food baskets were distributed to 800 families and winter clothes to 1,000 children in Batken Oblast. In the future, it is planned to distribute 3,000 food baskets, the press service of the Foreign Ministry added. Following the meeting, the minister expressed his readiness to provide all possible support to the organization. The parties agreed on the implementation of new creative projects in Kyrgyzstan.
