Qatar Foundation Celebrates Graduation of Sixth Batch of Students Under Patronage Of HH Sheikha Moza
Doha , May 06 (QNA) - Under the patronage of HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, the graduation ceremony of the sixth batch of Qatar Foundation student will be held tomorrow Tuesday at the Qatar National Convention Center.
A statement released today to the press by Qatar Foundation said that the foundation was celebrating the convocation of 437 students from 60 countries, enrolled in QF's different universities. The class of 2013 signifies the highest number of graduates in Qatar Foundations history. The number of graduates in 2012 were 373 students.
The majority of the graduates this year were females, with 229. Last year, 188 of the graduates were young women. This year, 35 doctors will graduate from WCMC-Q and 115 engineers from TAMUQ, alongside 44 Masters of Business Administration from HEC Paris in Qatar. In addition, 33 students looking forward to careers in the media will be graduating from Northwestern University in Qatar (NU-Q), alongside 81 graduates from Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU-Q), 43 from Georgetown University, School of Foreign Service in Qatar (SFS-Qatar), 42 from the Qatar Faculty of Islamic Studies (QFIS), and 44 from Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar (VCU Qatar). ceremony will be broadcast live on Qatar TV from 7 pm and listeners can tune in to QF Radios 93.7 FM for Arabic coverage of the event.
