Qatar Foundation to Celebrate Qatar Foundation Speakers Bureau s (QFSB) Inaugural Year,

December, December 10 (QNA) - Qatar Foundation (QF) representatives gathered tonight at a formal dinner to recognize the members who completed a year of service and to welcome new members to the Bureau. The first of its kind in Qatar, QFSB identifies talented speakers, provides them with professional media and public speaking training and promotes them to international journalists and event organizers. By promoting these highly trained spokespeople to global audiences, QFSB is telling the success stories of Qatar Foundation and Qatar Foundation Centers to the world. With so many disparate and unique programs and initiatives happening in Qatar every day, QF has chosen to streamline and focus its approach to effectively communicate with international audiences The structured approach QFSB has taken aims to ensure that Qatar is one of the first examples that comes to mind when world leaders think of innovation in the GCC. "Communicating Qatar Foundation s stories to the world is an important part of achieving Qatar s vision of becoming a knowledge hub of excellence for the region and a research center of the world. QF is honored to play an important part in supporting other national organizations in articulating the broader Qatar story," said President of Qatar Foundation Dr. Mohammed Fathy Saoud. "We are in the enviable position of being able to share the QF story with the world - and the QF story is filled with inspiring work and remarkable achievements," says QF Communication Director Haya bint Khalifa Al Nassr. "QFSB streamlines interaction with the media, ensuring that subject matter experts give interviews and attend conferences in the areas of their research, teaching and innovation" she added. In its first year QFSB members have been featured on global media channels including the BBC World, CNN and Al Jazeera.
