Qatar, Ethiopia Hold Official Talks

Addis Ababa, April 10 (QNA) - HH the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Hailemariam Desalegn held here this evening at the presidential palace a session of official talks . The meeting was attended by Prime Minister and Foreign Minister HE Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani, and their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Emir. On the Ethiopian side, the meeting was attended by a number of Ministers. During the meeting, the two sides discussed relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in various fields, and reviewed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest. Then, HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and the Prime Minister of Ethiopia Hailemariam Desalegn witnessed the signing of an agreement for cooperation in the cultural field between Qatar and Ethiopia, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the field of Education and Higher Education and Scientific Research, Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Qatar Airways flights, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Qatar Chamber and its Ethiopian counterpart, an agreement on the encouragement and reciprocal protection of investments between the Government of the State of Qatar and the Government of the Republic of Ethiopia and an agreement on the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income between the Government of the State of Qatar and the Government of the Republic of Ethiopia.(QNA)
