Qatar Environment Minister Hails Sports Day

Doha, February 12 (QNA) - HE the Minister of Environment Abdullah bin Mubarak bin Iboud Al-Maadhadi has reiterated his praise for assigning of a national sports day in Qatar. Speaking as the ministry celebrated the second National Sports Day, HE the minister said the initiative reflects the keenness of the country's wise leadership on sports and its significance for health, highlighting Qatar's pioneering status in the global sports scene as it continues to host major sports events. The ministry held a number of sports and cultural activities on Tuesday morning at its headquarters, with the participation of Assistant Undersecretary for Environmental Affairs Dr. Rashid bin Ahmed Al Kuwari and a number of senior ministry officials and their families.
