Qatar Embassy in Cairo Celebrates Sports Day

Cairo, February 12 (QNA) - Qatar Embassy in Cairo today celebrated the Sports Day which falls on the second Tuesday of the month of February every year in the presence of Qatar's Ambassador to Egypt and its Permanent Delegate to the Arab League Saif bin Muqaddam Al-Buainain and the embassy diplomats and staff. During the ceremony, held at the embassy premises, participants shed light on sporting activities in the country and the extensive sports development in the State of Qatar during the reign of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani and HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. The attention paid by the state to sport and athletes as well as the importance of sport in the lives of peoples and its effective role in the development of society was also emphasized during the celebration.(QNA)
