Qatar Cultural Salon hosts a Symposium on Post Arab Spring Literature on Wednesday

Doha, January 02 (QNA) - Cultural Salon belonging to the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage will host a symposium on Wednesday entitled, "Post -Arab Spring Literature." The event, to be staged at Qatar National Theatre, will witness the participation of Arab novelist Fouad Kandil and literary critic dr.Maleiha Muslimani. The two guests will talk about the relationship between literature and the political and social mobility in general and with uprisings in particular. Kandil will review the novels and short stories that paved the way for the outbreak of the Arab Spring in addition to other works released in 2011, while Muslimani will look at poetry that promoted and predicted the uprisings, and accompanied the popular movements in Arab squares and streets. Muslimani is a literary critic and an author with several literary books particularly on Palestinian cultural identity along with other creative works. (QNA)
